Open Position
QA Automation Engineer
Job Description
Build and maintain the automated tests that keep our web and mobile releases dependable.
The Division:
Quality Assurance works alongside the product and engineering teams at NASTP, testing the platforms KDys Lab builds across healthcare, e-commerce and real estate. You sit with the developers whose work you test, not apart from them.
The Position:
You will own the automated test suites for the projects you are assigned: writing them, keeping them honest as the product changes, and making their results something the team trusts enough to release on. Expect a mix of building new coverage for features in development and hardening what already exists. Exploratory testing is part of the job too — automation is how a finding gets locked in, not a replacement for looking at the product.
Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain automated UI and API test suites for web and mobile releases
- Turn requirements and designs into test cases before a feature is built
- Run exploratory and regression passes ahead of each release
- Report defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence and severity
- Keep the suites running in CI and investigate failures rather than muting them
- Work with developers on fixes and verify them before they close
- Track coverage gaps and make the case for the ones worth closing
Required Skills:
- 2+ years testing web or mobile applications, at least one of them writing automation
- A test automation framework in practice — Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar
- JavaScript or TypeScript, enough to write and debug your own tests
- API testing with Postman or a code-based equivalent
- Test design: boundaries, negative cases, data setup and teardown
- Git, and comfort working inside a CI pipeline
- Defect reports someone else can act on without asking questions
Soft Skills:
- Precise written communication — a defect report is only as good as its reproduction steps
- Persistence in chasing an intermittent failure to its cause
- Working with developers as colleagues, not as an audit
- Judgement about what is worth automating and what is not
Benefits:
- Paid leave
- Medical coverage
- Learning support
- On-site café and prayer rooms at NASTP
- Role-based remote work
